Harvest & Primary Processing
Timing and technique determine botanical extract quality. Each plant species has an optimal harvest window when marker compound concentration—withanolides in Ashwagandha, eugenol in Tulsi, vitamin C in Amla—reaches peak levels. Our field teams identify these windows precisely and harvest plant material to maximize target bioactive compounds. Immediately after harvest, botanicals are transported in breathable containers to our facility where they undergo shade-drying in temperature- and humidity-controlled chambers, preserving heat-sensitive compounds and maintaining colour integrity while reducing moisture to optimal levels (8–12%). Each dried lot receives a unique barcode and is moisture-tested in-house, then assigned to a dedicated extraction line configured with the appropriate solvent system (water, hydro-alcoholic, or supercritical CO₂) and processing parameters tailored to the botanical's specific phytochemistry.
